Terms of Service

1. The Platform

Geo Travel Connection is a marketplace that connects travellers with independent, licensed travel agencies, tour guides, and mutawifs (Hajj/Umrah pilgrimage guides). We facilitate discovery, booking, communication and payment. The travel services themselves are provided by the third-party providers you book with, not by us.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure, and for all activity under your account.
• Provider accounts (agency, guide, mutawif) must complete identity and licence verification before listing or accepting bookings.

3. Bookings & payments

• A booking is a contract between you and the provider. We process payment on the provider’s behalf through our payment gateways.
• Prices, inclusions, itineraries and availability are set by providers. Applicable platform fees and taxes are shown at checkout.
• Tax invoices are issued for eligible transactions.
• You agree to keep all communication and payment on the Platform. Arranging payment off-platform to avoid fees is prohibited and may result in suspension.

4. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations and refunds follow the cancellation policy shown for each package at the time of booking. Refunds, where due, are returned through the original payment method or to the bank account you provide, less any non-refundable fees disclosed at booking.

5. Provider obligations

• Maintain valid licences (e.g. MOTAC) and accurate listings.
• Honour confirmed bookings and published pricing.
• Mutawifs must meet the platform’s eligibility rules (Malaysian, currently in Saudi Arabia, verified).
• Comply with all applicable laws, including pilgrimage and consumer-protection regulations.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, unlawful or infringing content.
• Circumvent the Platform’s fees, verification, or anti-fraud measures.
• Harass other users or misuse messaging, ratings, or safety features (e.g. false SOS alerts).
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Platform.

7. Ratings & content

You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, photos, listings) but grant us a licence to host and display it to operate the Platform. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Safety features

Check-in, SOS and location-sharing are provided to assist in emergencies but are not a substitute for official emergency services. In a real emergency, contact local authorities first.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The Platform is provided “as is”. We are an intermediary and are not liable for the acts or omissions of providers or travellers, or for travel outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the platform fees we received for the relevant booking.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that create risk for other users. You may close your account at any time from Account settings.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any disputes, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version.
